Explore the glacier world with snowshoes - Tourism Association event

Joint ascent with the glacier cable car up to 3,212 m. Accompanied by a mountain guide, you cross the Hochjochferner and explore the glacier in all its beauty and learn interesting facts and history. The highlight of the tour is a beautiful, small ice cave and a fascinating ice wall at the end of the glacier at around 2,800 meters. After the visit and a leisurely rest in the secluded mountain world, the trail continues to the Schöne Aussicht refuge and then downhill to the Teufelsegghütte (round tour). The Roter Kofel chairlift takes you to the starting point of the tour, the village of Kurzras, at around 3.30 pm.

Walking time: around 5-6 hours including breaks

Altitude difference: around 300 m on the ascent and 1.000 m on the descent (about 8 km of trail)

Minimum number of participants: 2 people (participation from 14 years)

Prerequisite: good physical condition
