Hauptstraße 52, Zams
Open daily from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm The Ambras Foyer The Ambras Foyer invites you on a journey 450 years into the past. Visitors experience the fascinating story of Ambras Castle, the founder of the collections kept there, Archduke Ferdinand II, and his unworthy wife, the "beautiful Welserin" Philippine. The focus is on their extraordinary love story and their fascinating passions. To be discovered is one of the most important collectors from the Habsburg dynasty and one of the most important women in Tyrol, who is still shrouded in legend today. The historical vault from the 16th century provides the link in terms of content between the Lower Castle with the armoury and the Chamber of Art and Curiosities and the High Castle. It makes the people behind the castle, their thoughts, feelings and actions tangible. Interactive media encourage visitors to grasp the past in a playful way and to immerse themselves in the Renaissance lifestyle. Contact: Tel. +43 1 525 24 - 4802 info@schlossambras-innsbruck.at
