The Schwarzach Valley

2-hour hike along the Schwarzach to the Schwarzachalm. Ideal for families with baby carriages up to the Schwarzachalm.

From Gasthof Kühle Rast, hiking trail no. 8 leads into the wild and romantic Schwarzach Valley. After a narrow belt of forest, you hike along the rushing Schwarzach river on a slight incline and can enjoy the impressive landscape. Keep your eyes peeled - you might even spot a marmot or two!

The hiking trail to the Schwarzachalm is also very suitable for families with baby carriages.

After refreshments, sturdy hikers can continue on the hiking trail to the Obere Schwarzachalm (1,648 m).

Tip: Ascent to the Schwarzachscharte (2.475 m) is possible for experienced mountaineers.
