Departure / house handover

- Please wash dishes, use the dishwasher

- No waste on the floor "broom clean".

- Empty waste baskets (bathroom, kitchen)

- Waste recycling by the landlord. We only ask you to collect the bottles, cans, etc. in the kitchen.

- Waste disposal by the tenant: we provide 2 chargeable waste bags free of charge

- Container next to the house / hut at the bus stop

- Please DO NOT remove dirty bed linen,

- Dirty rotten linen, rags, tablecloths ect. Please collect them on the floor at the main entrance/entrance.

- Fold up wool blankets. Please leave our house with respect! Thank you!

In the TV cabinet in the living room you will find various adapters, plugs, cell phone power station ect.

Free F&B: fruit, chocolate, sweets, mineral water and milk as well as a coffee and tea bar are at your disposal free of charge. There is basic cooking equipment in the kitchen (spices, vinegar&oil, flour, sugar)

Free toiletries: Are you missing a toothbrush? You will find a small selection of toiletries in the bathroom on the first floor. Please help yourself! All items provided in the bathrooms are free for your use.

Please let us know during your stay if you have any requests, defects or missing items. We will take care of it. We are available 7 days / 24 hours. It is very important to us that you are satisfied.

Excursions

In the living room in the lounge table you will find a basket with lots of information, seasonal brochures about the Jungfrau Region. In the house you will also find hiking maps and binoculars, as well as hiking poles. On our website you will find many useful links and information to plan your excursions.

Luggage storage

You are very welcome to leave your luggage with us in the chalet on the day of arrival or departure. Please reserve the luggage room in advance.

History of the house

The Chalet Bärgblümli was a lighter factory in the 18th and 19th centuries. After that, the cellar was used as a village cold store for the village until the 1950s. Every family in Habkern had a cool box in the Bärgblümli. Ice from the glacier was stored in the cellar in winter and also in summer. From the 1960s, the Bärgblümli was used as group accommodation. The Bärgblümli comfortably accommodated up to 24 children and 2 teachers for ski camps and hiking weeks. The hut books are a beautiful testimony to this time. These guest books can still be admired by our guests in the living room. We would be delighted if you would also make an entry in our current Chalet Hut Book. The Engel Ingold family has been the proud owner of the venerable Chalet Bärgblümli since February 2022.

Grilling / fire bowls

We have a charcoal ball grill in the garden. Charcoal is provided. It also has a fire bowl with some wood.

Only an electric barbecue may be used in the house/on the balcony. These electric grills are provided on site in the kitchen.

Our kitchen also offers a tepannyaki table grill. This is permanently installed at the bar.

Heating

The house is centrally heated. Ideal radiator on position 2.5.

plus 4 electric stoves in the house, should it be cooler at night.

Induction - hob

Please note that you can only cook with our pots and pans on the induction hob.

Toddlers / babies

For the smallest guests you will find everything under the stairs in the basement: high chair, stroller, car seat.

And in the green sideboard you will find everything for the hygiene of your baby including a potty, as well as a baby monitor, dining table and much more.

Charging station for eCars and eBikes

We can charge your electric car overnight free of charge. Please inform us 48 hours before arrival that you are arriving with an electric car. If you also need a charging station for your electric bikes, please let us know before arrival.

Smoking

You are welcome to smoke on the balcony and in the garden.

PLEASE NOTE: Please use our ashtrays and be careful with the ashes. You are staying in a quickly flammable wooden house!

At the exit to the garden you will find our shoe shine machine.

Swimming pool Habkern

Free of charge, exclusively for our guests. Just a 2-minute walk away, you can swim for free in the solar-heated Alpine swimming pool. Closed from September to June.

Habkern ski lift + children's ski school

You can ski on natural snow on 3 different slopes in just 2 minutes on foot. There is a large lift and a children's lift and magic carpet for the little ones to learn how to ski.

In Habkern there is no artificial snowmaking. That's why the lift and the children's ski paradise are only open when snow conditions are good.

Security

We recommend locking the front door. However, crime is not to be expected in our region. You can sleep peacefully with open windows and balcony doors.

Fans / air conditioning

There are 5 fans available in the house. We do not have air conditioning in the house. In summer, we recommend closing the shutters during the day. This keeps the heat outside. At night it is pleasantly cool and you can sleep with the windows open.

Water

The tap water is top quality. You can drink it directly from the tap just like mineral water.

Washroom

There is only one high-voltage socket for both machines.

Please always unplug them. The detergents are at your disposal.
