Hintersteiner Lake

You can drink the water in Lake Hinterstein, as the mountain lake impresses with its high drinking water quality. Underground springs fill it with mountain-fresh water, reflecting the imposing mountain peaks on its surface. However, it is truly unique to bathe in its crystal-clear water on a hot summer's day or after a long hike in the Kaiser Mountains. In the summer months, it warms up to an average temperature of between 21 and 23 degrees.
