For this beautiful, moderately difficult mountain bike tour you definitely need a good basic condition ;)
You start from the Mosel Chalets and ride directly uphill to the Martberg Archaeological Park. If you like, you can book an exclusive guided tour with my sister Gaby and her husband Andi, who will explain everything you need to know about the Martberg and will be happy to share their enthusiasm for the temple complex and the Romans with you. Afterwards, drive back down to the Mosel, past the yacht harbor Mosel Islands and up to the lookout point Wildburgmühle. Back again, past the Mosel Chalets along the Mosel to Cochem. In Cochem you can visit the Reichsburg, eat an ice cream on the waterfront or of course enjoy a delicious Riesling. In Cochem it is very crowded in high season, if you want to avoid that, just take the mountain bike or the regional train (if you did like the Riesling ;)) back to Pommern.
The tour takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours and goes about 35km.
If you want to avoid the steep slopes, just do a tour along the Mosel, for example to the beautiful half-timbered village of Beilstein.
Have fun!
