South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology

The original finds and the story of the Iceman - also known as Ötzi - are on display on three floors in the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology: from the media hype surrounding the discovery to the research surrounding the 5,000-year-old, extraordinarily well-preserved ice mummy and its accompanying finds, as well as all kinds of curiosities, exciting interviews and interactive experience points. The highlight of the exhibition is the lifelike reconstruction of the Iceman. The top floor of the museum houses changing special exhibitions on archaeological themes.
