Way description:

Drive by car or hiking cab to Ellmautal to "Grund" - parking available. Ascent on trail no. 62 to Großellmau-Heimalm (not serviced) and continue on the same trail to Ellmaualm, 1,794 m (approx. 1 1/2 h).

Descent along the same path or via one of the neighboring huts in the Ellmau Valley such as the Weißalm, 1,723 m (approx. 1/2 h), the Loosbühelalm, 1,769 m (approx. 1 h) or the Filzmoosalm, 1,710 m (approx. 2 h). Descent from these huts to Grund approx. 1 h.
