Route description:

Travel by car or hiking cab to the Ellmautal valley to "Grund" - parking possibility. Ascent on trail no. 62 to the Großellmau-Heimalm (not managed) and further on the same trail to the Ellmaualm, 1,794 m (approx. 1 1/2 h).

Descent on the same path or via one of the neighboring huts in the Ellmautal such as the Weißalm, 1,723 m (approx. 1/2 h), the Loosbühelalm, 1,769 m (approx. 1 h.) or the Filzmoosalm, 1,710 m (approx. 2 h.). Descent from these huts to Grund approx. 1 h.
