Fireplace

You are welcome to use the open fireplace in the living area. Before lighting the fireplace, please open BOTH fireplace flaps! These are operated with two black metal levers, one on the left inside of the fireplace and one on the outside facing the refrigerator. After use, please close both flaps again.

Please dispose of any burnt wood residue and sweep the ashes with a broom into the collection container under the grille. The ash container can be emptied via the white metal door to the left of the last staircase to the living room. Please do not use liquid lighters in the fireplace!
