Viamala or Via Mala is the name of a formerly notorious, approximately eight-kilometre-long stretch of path along the Hinterrhein between Thusis and Zillis-Reischen in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.
Visit the Viamala Gorge and experience this impressive monument up close. A worthwhile excursion destination even in bad weather!
Carved into the solid rock thousands of years ago by glacial ice and the waters of the Hinterrhein, you can still discover living traces of a fascinating history in the Viamala Gorge.

The Viamala Gorge is open from March 28 to November 1, 2024 as follows
March 28 - April 30:
daily 09.00 - 18.00*
May to September:
daily 08.00 - 19.00*
October 1 - November 1:
daily 09.00 - 18.00*
During the winter season (November to March) the Viamala Gorge is closed for safety reasons.
