Enjoy the comfortable ride in the spacious gondolas and look forward to a magnificent 360° summit panorama. This unique panoramic view extends from Berchtesgadener Land to the cultural city of Salzburg, the Salzkammergut lakes and the eternal ice of the Hohe Tauern.

On the Untersberg, you are in high alpine terrain. Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Compared to other cable cars in the Alps, the Untersbergbahn achieves some top technical results: an exceptionally large difference in altitude of 1,320 m, highest distance above the ground 286 m, an enormously long, free-hanging span of 1.548 km between the valley station and support 1.
