Melager Alm

The Melager Alm is located at the end of the Langtaufers valley, surrounded by over 30 peaks above 3,000 meters and at the foot of the Weisskugel glacier (3,738 m). It is a pleasant hiking destination due to its easy accessibility within a maximum of one hour and the few meters of altitude covered.

The hike to the Alm is very easy and starts at the parking lot of the same name at the end of the valley (subject to a charge). From here, follow trail no. 2 into the valley to the first stream bridge. There, turn right over the Karlinbach stream and immediately left on trail no. 5 along the Karlinbach stream to the Melager Alm. We also recommend taking the bus, which runs every hour and is free with the Venosta Valley Card.
