The entire Villanderer Alm is a great, albeit on some nice summer days quite well visited place for easy walks, but also longer hikes. One of our favorite tours goes from the parking lot up to the 2500m high Villanderer Berg. The hike leads over the flat alpine pasture to the Totenkirchlein, from where it goes past the Totensee steeply up to the plateau of the Villanderer Berg. The last half hour is a pleasant hike to the Villanderer Berg, a wonderful vantage point in the heart of South Tyrol - with views as far as the Ortler, but also to the south to the Brenta Group directly above Lake Garda.
