Description
On March 15, 2026, after more than 60 years, an era came to an end at the Walmendingerhorn. This lift has served generations of locals and visitors, taking them up the mountain for unforgettable experiences.
Every farewell also marks a new beginning. The modernization at the Walmendingerhorn is all about greater comfort, quality, and accessibility.
The grand reopening is scheduled for December 24, 2027. Passengers can look forward to:
Unforgettable views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, similar to those on the Fellhornbahn.
Greater convenience for strollers, wheelchairs, or sports equipment thanks to an accessible boarding area.
A mountain experience without long wait times thanks to increased capacity
