With snowshoes in the realm of ibex, chamois, eagles & bearded vultures: equipped with a spotting scope and binoculars, you follow the tracks of wild animals in Defereggen Valley on the border with South Tyrol. On this guided ranger hike, you will experience the wildlife and nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park up close. The national park rangers will help you discover the inhabitants of the winter landscape and share their knowledge about the survival strategies of animals and plants in the frosty season. A real eye-opening experience in the middle of the East Tyrolean mountains!

📍Meeting point: 09.45 am St. Jakob Tourist Office - onward journey by ski bus possible.

🏔️ Difficulty: Easy tour - suitable for beginners on snowshoes. For adults and families with children aged 8 and over.
🥾 Your equipment:
+ sturdy mountain boots with a good profile - (NO moon boots)
+ winter-proof clothing including hat and gloves
+ sun protection
+ rucksack with a snack and drink
+ ski poles
