Details

Participation in the hike is possible without registration, registration is only required for the bus seat (limited places).

The 8-seater bus takes us on a well-maintained asphalt serpentine road to the Tauplitzalm (1650m) up to the highest lake plateau in Central Europe.

From there we hike into the "Totes Gebirge" nature reserve.

This mountain range consists of large white limestone slabs. The hike leads past many deep holes (sinkholes), which are not entirely without danger, so caution is advised here!

On reaching the summit, we find ourselves in the "Totes Gebirge" and can enjoy a magnificent view of the barren rocky landscape.

The ascent and descent follow the same route, on which there are several huts to stop off at if you feel like it.
