An unforgettable experience for the whole family
At the “Allgäu Magic of Lights” event in Bärenweiler, visitors can look forward to an extraordinary experience centered around the fascinating world of balloons. In collaboration with Ballonfahrten Seitz from Kißlegg, an experienced provider with over 35 years of expertise, a unique family event full of highlights is taking shape.

Highlight: Model Balloons—Technology Meets Fascination
It’s not just the little guests who will be thrilled by the five model balloons. These mini-balloons, meticulously recreated to scale, are an impressive 60 to 90 cubic meters in size and about 5 meters tall.
They are controlled by remote control, with miniature burners ignited via radio signal. Using propane, they generate hot air—just like their larger counterparts—and rise into the sky. Here, too, the wind determines the direction, turning every movement into a genuine ballooning experience on a smaller scale.
Another highlight: The Ravensburg Festival of Lights delights visitors with a dozen beautifully illuminated figures, adding even more magical moments of light to the Allgäu Festival of Lights. Some of the figures are on display in Bärenweiler.
Candlelight – A Magical Dance of Flames
As twilight sets in, one of the event’s most emotional highlights begins: the candlelight display. Several balloon baskets without envelopes light up their burners in time with the music. Flames up to 6 meters high bathe the surroundings in a warm, mesmerizing light.
The interplay of fire, music, and the evening ambiance creates a unique atmosphere—at times calm and soulful, at other times powerful and exhilarating. A spectacular experience full of energy, emotion, and magic.
A balloon experience for young and old
The event offers a colorful family program:
- Bouncy castle and games
- Hot-air balloon basket to climb into and take photos
A special highlight is the evening glow of the model balloons as well as the launches of the hot-air balloons—an impressive spectacle in the sky above Bärenweiler.
