Hike into the picturesque Schönachtal valley with a cozy stop at a mountain hut. Ideal for families with baby carriages up to the Issalm.
This wonderful hike starts at the music pavilion, from where the gently ascending hiking trail no. 511 leads into the Schönachtal valley.
After a short walk, you reach the Jörgleralm (1,300 m) and then the Stinkmoosalm (1,350 m) with a breathtaking view over the valley floor. If you follow the hiking trail along the rushing Schönachbach stream, you will reach the Lackenalm snack station (1,400 m) after approx. 1 hour.
Then turn right onto hiking trail no. 7 at the Issalm junction. Following the steadily ascending forest road, you will reach the rustic Stackerlalm (1,850 m) after approx. 1.5 hours. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Schönachkees glacier!
