Meetingpoint Ötzi Glacier Tour

Camping Residence Sägemühle
The Ötzi discovery site on the Tisenjoch (3,210 m) with its impressive view of the northern flank of the Similaun is the destination of this full-day tour. The starting point is Kurzras, from where we take the cable car to the Grawand mountain station (3,100 m).
From there, we continue via the Hochjochferner (2,800 m) past the Schwarze Wand to the Hauslabjoch (3,280 m). We then descend to the Tisenjoch, the place where Ötzi was found. After a short rest, we climb back up to the Hauslabjoch and ski through the Hochjochtal and down the valley back to Kurzras.
In good snow conditions, the descent from the Ötzi discovery site can be made via the Similaunhütte (3,019 m) and through the Tisental valley to Vernagt am See.
