Großglockner, Österreich
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road, which leads from the Salzburg town of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße to Heiligenblut am Großglockner on the Carinthian side, is one of Austria's most famous landmarks and is considered one of the most beautiful excursion and panoramic roads in the world. After all, it is one of the three most visited excursion destinations in Austria! Over a length of 48 kilometers, the mostly high alpine road blends almost seamlessly into the mountain landscape and leads, bend by bend, right into the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Up to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe to Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner with the Pasterze, the largest glacier still in existence in the Eastern Alps. Majestic mountain peaks, glaciers, green valleys and forests - a sight to amaze you!
