Beer delivery as at the first Olma in 1943

On Friday, October 11 and 18, 2024 before 12 noon, the Schützengarten brewery will deliver its beer as it did at the first Olma in 1943.

And it will do so with its original 1917 Saurer, which already delivered the beer to Halls 1-6 at Unterer Brühl at the first Olma and has now been in use for 106 years.

The old-timer is still in its original condition, has a 4-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 45 hp and a capacity of 7.7 liters. It reaches a top speed of 25 km/h and has a payload of 4 tons. The vehicle will stop with the Schützengarten crew on Friday in front of the Olma main entrance, where there will be a keg tapping with Olma Director Christine Bolt on the first Friday. Visitors to the fair are then invited to enjoy a beer for around a quarter of an hour.
