Guided Hike to the Ice Farms in the Pfossental Valley

We’ll board the hotel bus at the Zirmerhof and drive through Merano toward Naturns and on into the Schnalstal Valley. From there, we’ll turn off into the unspoiled Pfossental Valley and drive to the Vorderkaser at 1,693 m, where our hike begins.

We take a leisurely hike uphill through the idyllic high valley, passing traditional mountain farms and alpine pastures. The trail leads us through an impressive alpine landscape and across the Rableid Alm to the Eishof at 2,076 m. Here, surrounded by the mountains of the Texel Group Nature Park, we’ll stop for a leisurely lunch.

After lunch, we’ll hike back through the Pfossental Valley to the starting point and drive together back to the Zirmerhof.
