Schupfenfest in Obereggen

he culinary family event in Obereggen takes place every year on the first Sunday in August.

The Val d'Ega Alpine pastures and numerous stalls from various associations traditionally offer freshly prepared traditional South Tyrolean dishes along the Val d'Ega Alpine pasture trail from Obereggen to Pampeago. Young and old come together here and enjoy themselves while hiking, eating and drinking together. The Schupfenfest also brings the Oberholz mountain hut at the foot of the Latemar Dolomite mountain to life with a wide range of culinary delights and great entertainment.

On this special day, visitors can easily reach the Val d'Ega alpine pastures from 8:30-18:00 using the Obereggen-Ochsenweide gondola lift or the Obereggen-Oberholz panoramic chairlift. Both cable cars are offering the return journey at a special price of 5 euros especially for this occasion.
