Legendary glacier tour: the "Tux Giant"

Every Tuesday from July 7 through September 1 , you and your whole family can immerse yourselves in the fascinating world of legends surrounding the Hintertux Glacier.

As part of the guided adventure tour, you’ll set out on a search for clues about the “Tux Giant.”

As part of the guided adventure tour, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of Zillertal legends and set out to search for traces of the “Tux Giant.” Along the way, you’ll visit legendary sites and follow the giant all the way to the Spannagel Cave, which, according to legend, he is said to have dug with his own hands. The tour ends on the panoramic terrace overlooking the glacier—the giant of snow and ice.

Good to know:

- Meeting point: Hintertux Glacier valley station at the “Naturpark Steinmandl”

- Important for the Spannagel Cave: No claustrophobia!

- Children must be at least 6 years old

- Duration of the guided tour: 2.5 hours (1 hour of walking time)

- Equipment: sturdy, ankle-high footwear, warm clothing, sunscreen
