Trekking Excursion - Rifugio Ponti, At the Cospetto Del Monte Disgrazia

Rifugio Cesare Ponti was built, on the initiative of the Milan CAI and inaugurated in 1928, on the edge of the right side moraine of the Disgrazia glacier, whose summit was first climbed by British pioneers on August 23, 1862 from Valmasino.

Crossing the Preda Rossa plain, you gain altitude in a grove to a subsequent shelf, after which you continue on a section between granite slabs, patches of grass and bushes to the Refuge (2559 m).

Starting point: Piana di Predarossa

Meeting time and place: 8:30 a.m. at the parking lot of the Mountain Center, Filorera - where we will purchase the ticket to climb to Piana di Predarossa

Notes: packed lunch, possibility to eat at the Refuge

Each hike will be done with a minimum of 6 people.

Registration for each hike is mandatory and must be done by 4 p.m. the day before the outing.

It is the guide's discretion to modify/cancel the hike in case of particularly bad weather conditions. It is recommended that participants bring all necessary equipment for the day (food, drinks, clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, own medications etc.).
