With SNOWHOW Freetouring weekend in the Freeride City Innsbruck

Freeriding usually takes place in the area of the ski resorts close to the lifts. In this workshop, SNOWHOW mountain guides show how to get more out of your freeride day with precise planning and short ascents. The Freeride City Innsbruck and its surrounding ski areas offer a good basis for this. The freeride terrain is explored by ski lifts and on foot.

Who can participate?

Anyone who enjoys freeriding and is curious about what's beyond the ski areas. Ski lifts will be used to get as far up as possible. Then it goes on by foot. Basic knowledge of touring and a basic level of fitness for ascents of up to 600 meters in altitude are required.

Meeting point and procedure

Meeting point is on Thursday evening at 18:00 in the SPURART workshop in Innsbruck. After an approximately one and a half hour theory lecture on avalanche awareness, the next day will be planned. During the next three days, as much snow and terrain as possible will be matched with the knowledge gained from the theory lecture. Short selected ascents will take you into even more appealing freeride terrain. The combination lift - ascent - descent is exciting content in terms of tour planning and avalanche awareness.

Cost per person: € 490,- incl. emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe)

Costs for accommodation and lift tickets not included. Accommodation must be organized by the participants themselves.
