He did not compose for nearly four years. It was only with the help of his doctor, Nicolai Dahl, that he overcame his depression and wrote this piano concerto, which has contributed more to his legendary reputation than any of his other works. Pianist and ECHO Klassik Award winner Alexander Krichel takes on the pianistic challenges of this work. Ravel’s “Bolero” has also achieved cult status in concert halls around the world today. Ravel himself viewed this work “merely as an exercise in orchestration—unfortunately completely devoid of music,” a remark that naturally alluded to the rhythmic pattern that dominates the piece in a fully developed crescendo.\n\nBetween these two musical giants, Poulenc’s ballet music will be performed; inspired by Jean de La Fontaine’s fables, it holds up a mirror to humanity.\n\nSubject to change\n\nTickets: 49 € • 45 € • 39 € • 33 € • 23 € • 17 € • 15 €\n\nDiscounts: 4 €","inLanguage":"en","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://giggle.tips/#website"},"publisher":{"@id":"https://giggle.tips/#organization"}},{"@type":"ItemList","@id":"https://giggle.tips/en/experience/ddb55368-7f03-4210-80fe-e0e087b0f7f0/chorin-music-summer-2026-brandenburg-state-orchestra-frankfurt#upcoming-dates","name":"Upcoming dates for Chorin Music Summer 2026: Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt","numberOfItems":0,"itemListElement":[]}]}
