The Berggeistweg is a really quiet place of power. You start out in the clear morning air, hearing only your own footsteps and perhaps a marmot peering skeptically out of its hole.

The trail leads you up a steep ascent in the middle of our fascinating mountain world, hidden away from the noise of cars and busy paths up to the Albonagrat - a place that feels as if someone had built it especially for connoisseurs. Then it's down to the Kaltenberghütte. Soup, a slice of cake, just sit. Breathe.

The route continues to St. Christoph - gently downhill, with views of the peaks that watch over you like old friends, past several small mountain lakes. A dip in the refreshing water is recommended.
