Easy panoramic circular hike Grünsee - Bruggeralm - Haidersee

330 vertical meters|8.8 kilometres|4 hours

Take the bus to the neighbouring village of St. Valentin, where you take the mountain railroad to our starting point, the Haideralm (can of course also be done on foot +680hm). From there, follow the signpost no. 16. After approx. 1 hour you will reach the idyllic mountain lake "Grünsee" at 2,440m, which invites you to take a dip. Here you have already completed the entire ascent of the tour and the descent to the Brugger Alm begins. The path to the alpine pasture is on the side where the water trickles down from the Grünsee. After an hour you reach the alpine pasture. From there you descend to Lake Haidersee via trail no. 8. Highlights of this descent are the little church of St. Martin and the Faule See lake. Once you arrive at Lake Haidersee, take the bus in the hamlet of "Fischerhäuser", which returns to the hotel every hour.

Hike to the alp from Lake Haidersee

470 vertical meters|8 kilometres|3-3.5 hours

The hike begins in St. Valentin at the hamlet of "Fischerhäuser". We recommend taking the bus, which runs every hour, as parking spaces are chargeable & limited. The tour starts from the parking lot towards the back of the lake on the Haiderseerunde. After the biotope, follow the first signpost 5A in the direction of "Fauler See", which you reach after a short climb along the forest path. From the lake, the ascent can now be either short & crisp via the rooted "Goassteig" trail no. 24 next to the signpost or again via forest trail no. 8. After approx. 1.5 hours of ascent you reach the alpine pasture. The highlight is the little church of St. Martin with great views of both lakes. The descent is via the same route.

Bike or e-bike tour of the entire Zerzer Valley from the hotel

640 vertical metres|30 kilometres|3- 3.5 hours

Ride along the Adige cycle path to the back of Lake Haidersee, where you will find signpost 5A to Faulen See at the end of the lake. From there, continue along forest trail no. 8. The trail leads to the end of the Zerzertal valley past the Brugger Alm, but the tour can also end at the Alm (-150m & 2km). The return journey is via the same route.
