Horse-drawn sleigh ride to feed the game

A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Berchtesgaden National Park promises a very special winter experience.

Wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket while the two horses pull the carriage through the national park in peace and quiet. The rides take place with and without snow, with a ride through the snow-covered winter forest promising a particularly romantic winter experience.

The ride starts at the Klausbachhaus at Hintersee, from where it takes around half an hour - powered by 2 horsepower - through the Klausbach Valley to the wildlife feeding station. There, the horses can take a breather and all carriage passengers can observe up to 50 red deer up close. The deer live on an area of around 5000 hectares in the national park, but food is scarce in winter, so the animals come to the winter enclosure just in time for feeding. A unique opportunity to experience the wild animals up close.
