Klausen

Leitach Coste, 46, Chiusa
When autumn begins, it's time to ring in the 5th season, the Törggelen season, in the southern Eisack Valley. And what better way to start this season than with a festival.
In September, the small artists' town of Klausen dedicates 3 days to the tradition of "Törggelen" and transforms itself into a Törggelestube under the open sky, so to speak.
The streets of the town are lined with gastronomic stalls offering various South Tyrolean specialties: dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen, homemade sausage and sausage meat with cabbage, doughnuts, strauben and roasted chestnuts.
A wide range of White wines from the Isarco Valley round off the culinary offerings. The whole thing is framed by a colourful entertainment program and lots of folk music.
