Details

An interesting mountain hike with a view of the mighty Grimming.

The Gindlhorn is one of the lower peaks, but its steep rock faces make it at least as impressive as a taller peak. The mostly steep trail often runs along the top of the sheer cliffs. Two steep wooden staircases must be climbed to reach the summit.

The magnificent view from the summit over the Hinterberg Valley and the massive wall of the Grimmings offers a preview of the short, steep descent to the Dachsteinblick Inn, from where you can once again enjoy a fascinating view of the mountain scenery.

A steep descent then takes us back through easy terrain to the starting point.
