When the quiet of winter has settled over southern and western Styria, you might get the impression at first glance that time stands still here.
But don't worry - especially in winter there is a lot going on in southern Styria. In the cellars of the wineries, work continues in the cold months after the harvest, because - the new vintage wants to be created and therefore needs a lot of attention.
With free admission, the barrel tastings in January and February offer the ideal opportunity to visit your favorite winemaker in the cellar and taste delicious wines straight from the barrels.
In the wine cellars of Western and Southern Styria, especially in winter, there is a very special atmosphere that can be experienced even more intensively during a visit paired with stories from the life of a Southern Styrian winemaker. Interesting conversations and great wines make for an unforgettable experience
