1 day before the experience at 18:00
Guided hike to the summit of the Heukareck
The hike begins at the "Himmelsknoten" in Holzlehen. From here, a forest trail leads to the Niggeltalalm. Right by the stream in front of the hut, you can still see a well-preserved waterwheel that was once used for churning butter.
The trail then continues along a beautiful alpine path through the Niggeltal Valley, where many different flowers bloom, especially in early summer. The Igltal is also one of the areas in our valley with the most wildlife; with a little luck, you might even spot chamois in their natural habitat. The trail continues past the Tennköpfl up to the Heukareck. Once we reach the summit cross at 2,100 meters, we’ll be rewarded with an impressive panoramic view of the Salzach Valley and the surrounding mountains. The descent follows the same route as the ascent.
This tour requires sure-footedness and a head for heights.
