Neuhofen 183, Bad Mitterndorf
The Trisselwand is a 1754 m high mountain in the Totes Gebirge mountains.
With its imposing and steeply sloping rock faces, the Trisselwand forms the dominant backdrop to Lake Altaussee and is one of the most beautiful and best-known peaks in the region. A rock face around 600m high, which plunges into Lake Altaussee, is what makes this mountain so striking. Ascent and descent are via a moderate path. This leads steadily uphill along the ridge between Grundlsee and Lake Altaussee to the high plateau. Although we follow the same route there and back, there are various excellent views of the stunning mountain scenery of the Ausseer-Land region.
