The Sellaronda Bike Day is one of the most famous cycling events in the Dolomites and a true highlight for cycling enthusiasts. For two days each year, the roads around the Sella massif belong exclusively to cyclists. The four famous Dolomite passes—Grödner Joch, Sellajoch, Pordoijoch, and Campolongopass—are closed to motorized traffic, offering a unique riding experience in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unlike a bike race, there is no timing, no rankings, and no race numbers. Thus, the focus is not on performance, but on riding together and experiencing nature. 🚵♂️🏔️

If you want to ride the entire loop, you should start early and allow enough time for photo stops and a break at the mountain passes. The views at the Sella Pass and the Grödner Pass are particularly impressive. From the Mountain Lodge Margit, you can reach Corvara or Wolkenstein—ideal starting points—in about 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. The Sellaronda Bike Day is a must for every cycling enthusiast!
