Winter/snowshoe hike in the Latemar area

Experience the pure magic of winter on a snowshoe hike in the Latemar region at the height of winter, where pristine snow-covered landscapes and the imposing panorama of the Dolomites promise an unforgettable experience in nature.

Tour description:

After taking the public bus up the mountain, we begin our hike at the Paolina valley station. The trail leads us steadily uphill through the Latemar Forest toward the Latemar Alm and on to the Labyrinth Trail. After crossing this impressive section, we reach the Mitterleger. From there, we hike downhill toward the Grandhotel and finally back to the starting point.

Hiking time: approx. 4.5 hours

Ascent: approx. 500 m

Descent: approx. 400 m

Difficulty: Technically easy hike; good basic fitness required

Place to stop for refreshments: Latmor Alm

Snowshoes, crampons, hiking poles, and backpacks can be rented at the front desk

Any lift fees are not included

You’re welcome to order a packed lunch at breakfast (for a fee)

Please always bring your bus pass with you (available free of charge at the front desk)

The tour will take place even with little snow, without snowshoes
