Climbing Tuesday

The meeting point on this day is at 9:00 a.m. at the Alpendorf gondola parking lot. After checking your gear, you’ll take the gondola up to the Geisterberg with mountain guide Sepp Schiefer. Once there, Sepp Schiefer will introduce participants to the use of via ferrata sets and safety procedures on a via ferrata, and will then lead the group through the Drachis via ferrata. Around 2:00 p.m., you’ll take the gondola back to Alpendorf together.

Meeting point (start): expected to begin in late June; every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Alpendorf Gondola parking lot (information office, ground floor)

Duration: approx. 5 hours

Difficulty/Fitness: good physical condition required

Equipment & Clothing: via ferrata set, hiking boots, backpack, gloves (light work gloves or via ferrata gloves)

Food and drink: You are expected to bring your own beverages and light snacks

Children: Minimum age 12 years; those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor; good physical condition required; the route includes several climbing sections rated C (on a scale from A to F) as well as an exposed rope bridge.
