Special features: magnificent vantage points, miners' lodge and Pochwerk with museum, idyllic mountain lake, possibility of choosing different trail variants Well-equipped with sturdy shoes, hammer, chisel and protective goggles, the tour continues between Oetz and Kühtai up to the Knappenhaus. First of all, you will have a look at the equipment set up there and set the Pochhammer in motion by means of water power, marvel at the small mining museum and the wall panels and then, after a snack, follow the Knappensteig trail in the direction of the Wetterkreuz. Already at the crossing of the first channel, under the mighty block dump, with some luck andalusites can be found. Mostly the square stems are covered with mica, whitish, violet, reddish or bluish. Unfortunately, the minerals tend to break off when tapped out. Above the escarpment, along the old "Bringungsweg" and in the following dumps you can find again Andalusites besides other minerals.
