Hiking

Ötzelsee- Hütschlag valley head - easy

Details

Altitude meters: 20m

Start: Hüttschlag Parking lot Hüttschlag Talwirt

You can reach the head of the valley by car or by public bus (line 540). The trail first leads past the Stockham farm, the old Seegut, a deer enclosure and finally runs through the meadows and floodplains of the head of the valley to "Hüttschlag/See". Near the bridge over the stream on the right, there is a natural Kneipp facility with a public barbecue area. Just a few meters after the Kneipp facility, a path branches off to the left to the Ötzlsee lake. Around 250 m further on is the Ötzlhütte, which is unfortunately not currently open.

TIP: At the turn-off just after the Stockham farmer to the Kreealmen, you can reach the Kreealm waterfall in just 5 minutes on foot, where thundering masses of water plunge approx. 80 m into the depths.
