The Phoenicia Malta invites you to experience an exclusive culinary adventure that combines the thrill of the catch with the art of gourmet cooking. This experience offers hotel guests a unique opportunity to enjoy a day of fishing, cooking, and stylish dining in the excellent company of no other than our very own Executive Chef Daniel Debattista. 


Early Morning Start - 5.45 am

 

·      Begin your day by meeting Chef Daniel in the Palm Court Lounge.

·      Set off in style in an executive car that will take you to your boat.

·      Enjoy your specially packed breakfast while heading out at sea.

·      Depart on a five-hour fishing expedition, where you’ll have the chance to learn trolling and live bait techniques to catch larger fish.

·      Arrive at Ta’ Xbiex Marina and take an Executive Car back to the hotel.

 

Creative Afternoon in the Kitchen - 2.00 pm

 

·      Participate in a two-hour Cooking Masterclass with Chef Daniel, where you’ll prepare a starter and main course based on your morning’s catch and your personal preferences.

 

Gourmet Dinner at Contessa - 8.00 pm

 

·      Relish your bespoke meal crafted from the day’s catch.

·      Commemorate your culinary journey by leaving with a personalised menu, signed by Chef Daniel himself and a Phoenicia Malta Apron.

 

Important Information

 

·      Payment and Cancellation Policy: Full payment is required upon confirmation. Free cancellation is allowed up to 72 hours before the starting time of the fishing trip, and a refund will be provided. This experience is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled or rescheduled based on availability. A full refund will be provided if the skipper cancels the trip due to weather conditions.

·      Alternate Chefs: If Executive Chef Daniel is unavailable, Chef de Cuisines Alessandro or Matthew will step in to ensure a seamless experience.

·      Group Details: The experience is priced at €490 per person with a minimum of two and a maximum of three guests, as a maximum of four may board the boat (three guests and the chef). Parties of four are possible, but the chef cannot join the fishing trip in such cases.

·      Dinner Drinks: The dinner at Contessa will be served with water and includes no other drinks.
