Sonora Desert Museum - Experience the desert with all your senses

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is much more than a classic museum - it is a gateway to the fascinating world of the Sonora Desert. Covering over 36 hectares, it combines a zoo, aquarium, botanical garden, art gallery and natural history museum.

Here you can get up close and personal with the animals of the desert: observe the majestic mountain lion, shy wolves or the agile roadrunners. In the hummingbird house, the little jewels of the air flutter right around you, while the aquarium reveals the hidden life of the desert rivers.

The diversity of the plant world is presented in lovingly designed gardens - from giant saguaros to delicate flowers that are only open for a few hours a day. The experience is complemented by exciting exhibitions on the culture and history of the region as well as impressive works of art inspired by the beauty of the desert.

A visit here means experiencing the desert with all your senses - a mix of adventure, knowledge and amazement that will delight adults and children alike.
