Bike tour to the Plansee

The Plansee is the second largest natural lake in Tyrol. In 1908 it was connected by the construction of a canal with the Heiterwanger See, from which it draws its water. Below the Plansee, the Planseewerke was put into operation in 1902, generating the current electricity for Reute, Füssen and the surrounding area. The Planseewerke are also the ideal starting point for a hike to the Stuiben Falls. From Schwangau you go by the wheel still Hohenschwangau. Here the prince road leads you to to Pinswang. From there you reach over the Kniebispass to Reutte. Arrived there you must turn left after the railway station to Breitenwang. Here the L255 leads you directly to the Plansee. If you drive along the shore of the Plansee, you will reach the place Plansee, where you can relax on a bathing meadow. Via the same path you get back to the hotel.
