Guided summit hike to the Heukareck

This hike starts at the “Himmelsknoten” in Holzlehen. From here, a forest trail leads to the Niggeltalalm. A beautiful waterwheel, which was once used for churning butter, is still visible today by the little stream in front of the hut.

We continue hiking along a beautiful alpine trail and cross the Niggeltal valley, where many different flowers bloom, especially in early summer. The Igltal valley is also one of the areas in our valley with the most wildlife, and we might even spot a chamois. We continue on a trail past the Tennköpfl and on to the Heukareck. From the summit cross, located at 2,100 meters, we have a wonderful view of the Salzach Valley.

We return via the same route we took on the ascent.

This tour requires sure-footedness and a head for heights!
