Midsommar Experience

22 - 24 June 2023 (overnight stay separately)

Do you want to experience a real, Swedish Midsummer? We offer you the authentic, Swedish complete package.

The program includes:

In the afternoon before Midsommarafton (22.06.2023) you will choose together with the guide the suitable birch tree and cut it down, from it we will make the midsommar pole.

Afterwards you will have dinner together in our cozy fire hut (Eldpallkojan), everything is organized by us.

On Midsommarafton (23.06.2023) the women and girls will pick flowers and make wreaths in the morning. While the boys and men decorate and put up the Midsommar pole. At least that's the tradition. Of course, everyone can do everything, completely gender-neutral, which is also typically Swedish.

Afterwards there is a sumptuous, typical Swedish Midsommar buffet with a lot of goodies (alcohol not included). Not to be missed are, of course, the various types of salmon and herring, shrimp and the typical smörgåstorten (sandwich cakes). Quite traditional.

Besides the food, the program includes the traditional dance around the Midsommarstång as well as common games. Everyone has to participate, that's how it's done here, from toddlers to great-grandparents, typically Swedish! The whole thing is of course accompanied by the typical drinks such as schnapps, beer and wine, which we also offer everything in non-alcoholic version. (Alcohol not included in the price)

After a break we will have fish and meat from the grill for dinner, with a rich salad buffet. Also this in the typical Swedish way.

Midsommardagen (24.06.2023)

After an extensive brunch there is a classic Swedish Tips-Promenad, a typical Swedish puzzle walk. Afterwards there is some time to relax in our traditional Finnish sauna (as Skålsjögården is located in the Finnish forest) and the relaxing hot tub. If you like, you can take part in the whole Skålsjögården ritual, which includes cooling down in the 5-course spring water. This spring water is said to have rejuvenating properties. At least this was handed down in Skålsjön by the ancestors.

Of course we will have a fine dinner in our restaurant afterwards. Also this, how should it be different, typically Swedish.

Stårslott: Our Family Rooms include 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom. Each Family Room includes a private sitting area.

Cost 2 double rooms (4 adults) : SEK 12'600.-
