Helpful facts
Gastein's frozen waterfalls are a hotspot among ice sports enthusiasts from all over the world.
Due to the altitude, the ice here becomes very compact. At 350 metres, one of the largest and most beautiful icefalls in Austria is located in the region. You can get to know the impressive sport of ice climbing on a course specially designed for beginners and take your first steps on the ice.
