Helpful facts

The baroque Cistercian monastery in Stams can be seen from afar in the central Upper Inn Valley, south of the River Inn. The collegiate church with its princely crypt, the magnificent pulpit, the impressive vault and wall paintings and probably the most famous sacred work of art in the collegiate church, the Tree of Life altar, is a centerpiece of Tyrolean culture. In the rooms of the museum, a broad cross-section of the most important objects from the various areas of the collection are presented to the public as a permanent exhibition. The orangery with its magnificent garden is the perfect place to enjoy the many impressions over a cup of coffee.
