Like all Davos side valleys, the Sertig is a typical glacier valley with steps and bars. It is a popular excursion destination mainly because of the striking mountains and the waterfall at the back of the valley. That is why it is also considered a region of Switzerland worthy of special protection.
In the Sertig village at 1,861 m above sea level, the little church "Hinter den Eggen", built in 1699, is worth a visit - popular for weddings and baptisms.
At the beginning of August the traditional Sertigschwinget attracts many onlookers. The Hotel Walserhuus Sertig, at the foot of Mittagshorn, Plattenflue and Hochducan, as well as the two restaurants Bergführer and Mühle Sertig are recommended places to stop for refreshments. The Sertig valley can be reached by car, post bus or horse-drawn carriage.
