Guided snowshoe hike in the Hohe Tauern National Park
Join the rangers of the Hohe Tauern National Park on a wildlife discovery tour in the Kalser Ködnitztal! Armed with binoculars and a spotting scope, you’ll track down chamois, ibex, and other wildlife at the foot of the Großglockner.
This is home to East Tyrol’s largest ibex population—with a little luck, you might encounter the “kings of the Alps.” The tour starts at the Glocknerwinkel parking lot at 1,920 m; from there, the trail leads through the snow-covered larch forest up to the tree line.
